Bird's Eye Views
The mist was swirling round us again this morning. TM said the sun would be shining at the coast, and he was right. We had fish soup for lunch in St Abbs and a walk around the village.
St Abbs is tiny, but thriving. It's a centre for diving (not much of that at this time of year), and fishing for lobster. It also has an independent lifeboat. When the RNLI closed its station the locals raised the money to keep a rescue boat going. They got a lot of help from the Tunnock family (of Caramel Wafer and Teacake fame), so I no longer need to feel guilty when tucking into a Teacake, I'm supporting a good cause, .... well, sort of......)
