Thought I saw a sizeable spider on the ceiling above the bed when I first woke up this morning - but once I'd put on my specs and zoomed in discovered it was just a small to medium spider tending her eggs.

Went round to Arclight and Mr A's in the evening - had an excellent meal, all prepared by Alf. The oatcakes were a triumph! The conversation ranged far and wide, but we did try to avoid the B***** word for the sake of our sanity.
