Autumn Leaf to Police Escort

A day of two halves.... relaxed with Mr and Mrs Knottman2 who have kindly hosted me for the last 3 days - walk, coffee, walk, lunch, then I set off for Manchester. Going into the city centre to find the hotel was a big mistake. It took an hour to get near the centre and another to get out having decided to go to the airport, drop the car and return to meet hibou. The car return village is not indicated. I was lucky to find a police patrol car with an amiable police officer who escorted me to the car returns, not with flashing lights thank goodness! Now uploading on a tram, that’s novel for this country bumpkin!
