Katie had a glorious time today having a rehearsal with her accompanist for her NCO audition. The chap is a friend of a friend and he’s wonderful. He was kind, encouraging and helpful - and he plays a wooden flute that looks like a flute shaped clarinet, which Katie thought was fabulous.

She’d had band in the morning and we stopped to visit my niece on the way home, so all in it was a splendid day
