Hull History Day

7years 364days....... birthday eve.

Today at school was history day. The whole school dress up day. This year though it was themed around the city of culture. Katie's year had "made in hull" for their theme and had to chose from industry specialists. Katie chose to go as a scientist. It evolved into mad scientist. Crazy hair, funky bow tie, mad goggles, crazy socks.... she loved it.

Because her birthday is tomorrow, I went for lunch with her at school. If was the first time she didn't get upset when I left. It was a lovely lunch; as we ate, she snuggled nearer and nearer to me. Her friend came for lunch with us and said that Katie's costume is the best in the class- which made katie smile.

At the end of the school day, they had a parade of the history of Hull. Katie led her class with a theatrical banner..... how typical!

She's been a superstar this week. I think she was more nervous about last weeks audition than she really let on, because she's been delightful.

Big cuddles and kisses tonight.... my last 7year old kisses and cuddles....
