Scala Contarini del Bovolo

we were on our way somewhere else when we came across this rather ornate staircase in Venice. I've seen it before from the outside but you can now go inside. Its named after a snail's shell and I can see why . Theres a great view from the top over the rooftops of Venice. (see extra). Well worth a visit.
