Veterans Day in America...
Where we honor those who have served... This card is for my dad from the family. He had a very soft voice today but we talked, laughed and watched a little football...
In the family tree...
(mom's side)
My great grandma's brother served in World War One, was gassed, survived but was never the same again. My grandpa was exempted in World War Two but wanted to do something for the cause. He became a firefighter and eventually the Fire Chief. My Uncle was drafted and served in Alaska.
(dad's side)
My great grandpa and grandpa severed in Company A. 19th Battalion of the Kansas State Guard. My dad's younger brother served in the Air Force at Gila Bend in Arizona. My dad served in the Army Medical Corp responsible for keeping the food and water supply safe for the troops in Vietnam. He was 27 in 1963 when he was Honorable Discharged.
Thank you everyone who served....
