Newick Remembers
Torches are lit as the evening procession leaves St Mary's Church to make its way to the lighting of the Remembrance Beacon on the Village Green. One torch was carried for each of the men of Newick who gave their lives in the Great War, that ended (on the Western Front, at least) with the Armistice that came into effect at 11:00 exactly 100 years ago today.
