Remembrance Sunday

Took the eldest to St Pauls today for the Remembrance service.  I've been going to the service for many years, followed by lunch with friends.  I was going to take both the boys (the husband couldn't come with us).  I decided mid-week that taking both boys to London, to sit through 45 minutes in St Pauls was asking for trouble, so left the youngest with Granny and Grandpa.   I was a little worried after last nights sick episode that we would have a night of the  youngest being sick, or that we'd have a phone call half way to London to say he wasn't well.

Amazingly, the youngest had a good night - and also had a lovely day with Granny and Grandpa.  The eldest and I had a wonderful day.  He pretty much stayed quiet throughout the service (bribed partly with flap jack and partly with the threat of the lion on the statue coming to get him if he made a noise during the 2 minute silence).

Great lunch with old friends.  We've been going to St Pauls followed by a good lunch for about 10 years and it has become a very special day
