Autumnal Riding!

After a really lovely evening spent in the cosy Premier Inn at Gargrave, Mum and I headed out on the open road, homeward bound. 

A beautiful route through yet more gorgeous villages and along wonderful little rural roads. The dampness in the air, making way for heavy rain at times, didn't do anything to stop our smiles as we pedalled along. All in all, a grand adventure! 

Upon arriving back, and getting warm and dry, we headed into Halifax where we got some little delicate cakes to enjoy with a cup of tea in memory of Grandma. It's three years since she lost her battle with dementia but, of course, she's always close at heart. Here's to you GM, a little lady with a fighting spirit and a resilience to rival anybody's!!

Poppy also worn with pride today to remember those who gave so much to give us the freedom we take for granted, as enjoyed this weekend.
