Newhaven

Unusually for me, I had a free day with no plans. Having checked the weather and the tides I drove to the West Beach at Newhaven knowing I'd see some crashing waves. Some hardy people were on the harbour wall and on the far beach. That looked far too wet for me so I angled my car to protect me from the spray and to give me something to lean against to steady the camera from the wind. The weather and waves didn't disappoint with the light changing every few minutes.

After an hour or so I drove to Seaford to park near the sailing club where I managed to find a dry position half in and half out of the car (fellow blippers will understand the contortions required). I moved on to the far end of Seaford beach to get my last shots. I had intended to go to Splash Point but the rain was torrential by then. I called in to see my friend's parents instead for a chat over a welcome cup of tea and to warm up before going home.
