Sally Mair - Loving life

National Museum of Scotland

I don't think I'd noticed the amazing shape of the Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street before.
We visited today with C's mum who is a sprightly 95 year old. She enjoyed the galleries and the millennium clock although it wasn't very warm.

Lunch in the cafe was really poor, tough, meagerly filled baguette, wrap with far too much bread and not enough filling and a very small portion of warm, very watery, lentil soup with no flavour at all. I took the latter back and it was replaced, without fuss, by the wrap which, disappointingly was nothing to write home about either.
Very disappointing all in all. The cafes in the art galleries by comparison are all excellent.
