Weed Whackers

The road we take into town follows an overgrown creek with a significant drop off on one side. It is also full of poison oak. NO problem for these guys, though. Goats are the perfect solution for weed control in difficult terrain. They are kept in by an electrified fence which gets its power from solar panels on posts at intervals along the fence. They are effective.  They are non-polluting. AND they are cute, and a bit silly, though difficult to photograph....apologies for the not very good shots.

We always have an Indian summer here in September and October but 86 degrees F in early November is weirdly amazing. Despite that, OilMan overdid it in the garden and has a sore neck, I had a skin cancer removed from my leg which is sore when I stand up and  we're rather a sorry lot today. I'm sure things will be better tomorrow.

They might even improve quite soon after some liquid analgesic...
