Showery (Day 1277)

With no work planned for today, and no tradesmen scheduled to come to the house (we have no idea when the skirting boards will be fitted), there was no need to set an alarm clock. We slept a fair bit later than normal, and were woken, eventually, by the dogs getting impatient for their morning walk. 
A bit later my beautiful wife and I took a trip across to Stromness to look at blinds and carpets. 
There was time for a quick lunch at home, then a trundle off to check on the horses, before a wander with the woofers at Lyde. We dodged most of the showers, but the wet weather wasn't far away and we are due for gales later.
The rest of the afternoon was spent putting up blinds and making a start on clearing up the dust left over from the past week.
