Little Red Tractor....

A busy one today. The contractor in with the mobile bruiser to do winter barley. It passes between 2 heavy steel rollers to break it down so the livestock can digest it. We also add propanoic acid to preserve the grain for storage .
Had to borrow a neighbour’s telehandler as the hopper was too high for our tractor loaders to reach.
By 5pm we had over 80 tons done so not a bad days work .
The 250 hp New Holland tractor makes my wee 80 hp Case look like a Dinkey toy. It reminded me of the programme the kids used to watch called Little Red Tractor whose owners posh neighbour had a tractor called Big Blue
