The V&A on the Tay

We drove to Dundee today for our first visit to the V&A. We had a lovely drive up in sunshine, and stopped for coffee before reaching Dundee at the Glendoick Garden Centre.

The architecture is stunning, we had seen it in the process of it being constructed, but to see it in its finished form is quite something.  The Japanese architects were inspired by Scotland's sea-cliffs, and the walls twist both horizontally and vertically creating waves or the hull of a ship.

After having a look around the Design Galleries, we visited the exhibition on Ocean Liners, and it was well worth the £8 to enter the exhibition.  Took lots of pictures, the only restriction being that no flash photography was allowed.

We had intended to have a meal in the restaurant, and the menu looked inviting, but it was fully booked when we wanted to eat.  So we opted for a quick snack in the snack bar downstairs, very nice food but a bit pricey.

All in all we had a super day.  Have added a couple of extras of our day, but did like the sign with the reflection...… I do love reflections.
