A few candles short..

Even though we've been celebrating since Thanksgiving Day, today is my husband's actual birthday.
After a nice homemade pot roast dinner, we had some red velvet birthday cake and I caught this shot of him blowing out the candles. I loved the way the smoke from the blown out candles swirled around the top of the cake.
The birthday cake is traditionally decorated with the same number of lit candles as the age of the individual. Let's just say the cake wasn't big enough and that was just fine with my husband! :-)
