Thursday: Lonesome Leaf

I didn't realise that Halloween came with fireworks in this part of the world (although someone did tell me today that it was only in British Columbia).  They went on for quite a while last night and there was a lovely smell of cordite in the air as I left this morning.

K. and I met up with V and E this evening.  It's been way too long - we went for Xi'an style food to a new place on Robson.  Food was great and the service very friendly.  We ended the evening with a drink at the Sylvia Hotel.
