Split down the middle

in a big storm in our winter of 2017.  Last summer both halves were still looking quite green but as the new spring growth has emerged this year one side is still looking okay but the other has only a little bit of green emerging.  As I walked past here 20 minutes earlier I was cautiously watching a young steer which was acting quite unusually.  I had to laugh, when on my return I found him scratching himself against some of the dead branches, it was a very long scratch. I could almost see him saying Aahh - that's better. Maybe Itching was the reason  for his earlier antics.
