Layer-de-la-haye day 2

I have had a lovely day with Sara and Leslie and late this afternoon I took a solo trip to the causeway across Abberton reservoir which is always a great place to see birds.
I liked this shot of the Black-headed gull standing on a fence post in his lovely winter plumage.
But he wasn't the only bird there and I have added a shot of the red listed Black-tailed Godwitt Limosa limosa in my extras, a rare pleasure to see such beautiful birds.
