On Second Thought.....

It's a stuffed raven and when I bought him yesterday I was probably halucinating because this morning he looked like a........I don't know what -- some bird-like thing that had a run in with a high-voltage wire. He still makes me laugh, though, but you have to keep in mind that I have a stuffed polar bear the size of a Mini Cooper in my bedroom named Bo-Bo and he also makes me laugh so I'm easily amused.

I'm working on a name for him and trying to avoid anything connected to Edgar Allan Poe. Yesterday I thought perhaps I'd name him Haworth, after the West Yorkshire village in England where I had an amazing encounter with ravens (they might have been crows/jackdaws) in the Bronte Parsonage cemetery. It was one of those gothic evenings -- dark storm clouds, wind, leaves swirling around the headstones, and great flocks of the birds cawing wildly. I loved it. After seeing my new friend this morning in his "shocking" (pardon the pun) condition, I think Howie might be a better name.
