Goodbye Charlie

I came home today after an entertaining week in hospital. Charlie (of no fixed abode) has been in the bed opposite me for a few months following medical issues whilst living on the streets. Some time ago he was hit by a car travelling at 140mph. It mounted the pavement and smashed his leg and face to bits. It narrowly missed his partner and two children and the accident was the beginning of a chain of events which led to him losing everything. ..the driver was arrested for drink driving

I’m Home safe now - wound is sore but fine... just waiting for the feelings to return in my legs !!
