2018 Thursday — Cayucos

It’s been a month since we’ve been here. Not sure how that happened, except that I was terribly ill two weeks ago when we should have come up. Then we learned about a special tour happening this weekend in Monterey at Pacific Biological Laboratories; which is famous because it was the laboratory of Doc Ed Ricketts — made famous by John Steinbeck’s Writing, but Ricketts was a genius in his own right and his books are still used in college classes today. Because of the tour we did not come to Cayucos last weekend, but waited for this eventful couple of days.

So tomorrow morning we’ll leave for Monterey. We’ll drive up the Big Sur Highway and then spend 2-nights in Monterey and be back here Sunday afternoon. But for now we are going to enjoy the evening here and the comfortable sleep in our favorite queen-sized mermaid bed! Oh the joy!
