Colour on a grey day (Day 1265)

Today has been vile. I was lucky to miss the rain as I wandered the woofers up the hill, but the wind was stronger than it has been for a long time.
As  my beautiful wife made her way to deal with the hosses, I headed off to a job which I knew would involve working inside as well as outside.
The customer has built a small "pod" which is basically a kitchen/sitting room/bedroom with a shower room at one end. They have started the plumbing, but other things have got in the way and they have asked me to finish off. As with all such projects, there was a bit of head scratching  before I made a start and changed a couple of bits of pipework, not because they were wrong, but because the way they had been done would likely lead to problems in the future. Unfortunately a lot of the changes meant standing outside in a gale and trying to time my use of power tools for the breaks between the very heavy showers. It was rather unpleasant.
Needing more bits, I left the job in the middle of the afternoon and made my way into town. Driving the van was very much a two hands on the wheel experience today.
I returned home blipless and took advantage of the yellow roses for a bit of colour on a day which has been pretty dark and grey. It appears that winter has arrived.
