Oceania.......

....an excellent exhibition at the Royal Academy. 250 artefats brought together for this exhibition. I was amazed at the intricate carving and weaving. Canoes were used between the islands in the Pacific for travelling, fishing, warring and rituals. This is a carved prow of a canoe from Papus New Guinea.

The extra - a head dress, I would have loved to have used as a Blip but couldn't get the shot without the flash showing!
