Great Slippers!
Becky and I set up the kitchen for serious apple pressing this morning. As Tony is not yet allowed to do anything manual, I needed the upper body strength of Becky to do the pressing, and an excellent job she did of it.
Just before we got cracking, neighbours David and Brenda arrived with their apples and so they were the first batch, two and a half litres of juice. Then it was time to do ours. We put the last of the pears in with the first pressing and the result was a mellowed out apple juice. Nine litres later we were packing up exhausted. It's great fun but quite labour intensive.
After lunch Becks and Tony went up on the Moor for his second walk of the day and then Becky visited Jenny who is off work with a heavy head cold. I ran down in to Bingley for some shopping and then we all decided not to cook but to get fish 'n chips instead, good move!
Tomorrow morning the Hobblers are on tour to Oxenhope, on to Liz's patch to run one of her circuits. She has promised us croissants!
