Chan Centre Ceiling

The Chan Centre is UBC's performance hall. What a wonderful space, excellent acoustics and visually appealing. Saw Chris Thile and the Punch Brothers there tonight. Someone said it was built to be like the inside of a cello.

Thile (pr. Tee-lay) was recently awarded the half-million dollar MacArthur prize, part of which he spent on another Loar mandolin. If anyone deserves that instrument, it's him. That guy can play.
