Under or Over?

When I was growing up, my parents always installed the toilet roll so that the paper came out under the roll, as shown here. Later I determined that over the top seemed more efficient, somehow, and switched to that mode for most of my life.

So when I saw this one under, I noticed. And wonder what it reveals about the installer's character? If anything?

Of course in many parts of the world, especially Asia, it's moot.

And at university football games they are thrown to unravel, so only one hold is really appropriate (under).
