Fly away

It was a challenging post-Thanksgiving morning. Owen was still sick and pretty clingy. Folks came over for breakfast around 9:30-10, and Owen either wanted to watch a movie or be held. As I was holding him in the brown chair he actually fell asleep which was incredible. He was out for almost 1 hour, which meant no nap time in the afternoon once everyone left. We were planning on going to the Christmas parade at 1 but it was absolutely pouring down rain and completely miserable out, so everyone decided to take off before then. I was feeling bummed cooped up and decided that we should head over to Evergreen Aviation museum to get out of the house. We had a really nice time there for a little over an hour and I think that helped us all perk up. We were going to see the lighting of the Christmas tree downtown but it was still pouring so we just went home and ate leftover Thanksgiving dinner. Owen was really whining and not interested in food. We convinced him to take a bath and were glad to see that his wound was on the mend. I held him in the rocking chair and he was asleep on my chest almost as soon as his cheek landed. I enjoyed the chance to rock him for a little while before I put him down which was a record in the past year being only 7:15. Phew!
