Bold as brass...
After a very late night (MrM went to a music session in Newcastle yesterday evening...), it was a very late start to the day, and strong coffee was required before the brain kicked in to gear!
Intentions of working on a design for the stained glass have come to nought as yet! Needed to order some bits and pieces for the workshop (always much more time-consuming than anticipated), do some paperwork, and sort out some domestic stuff. That done, we decided to stretch our legs before it got too dark, and went up to the Common. As we walked along the path, this rat and its friend appeared and proceeded to nibble at the seed under a bird feeder. They didn't seem at all bothered by me, standing 0.5m away from them, but disappeared speedily when a couple of mallards on the nearby pond had a very loud disagreement!
Lots of autumn colour on the Common and, as usual at this time of year, the pink fruits and bright orange seeds (extras) on the Spindle trees look amazing.
