Front Door

Our front door doesn't get used much.

A group of people I know (not very well, I hasten to add) is going to "sleep rough" for charity for one night. The are going to arrive at the spot in their luxury German cars, in branded winter clothing and with designer sleeping bags. They will be provided with hot food and drinks and have toilet facilities available. I think is it patronising and insulting. If they care they should talk to rough sleepers (rather than ignore them), try to understand why they are there (rather than judge and condemn out right) and contribute to solving the cause of the problem (rather than giving them a few pence or a lecture), not have a jolly with friends at someone else's expense
