Mono Monday...Play

It was not a good weather day. It rained a little, was windy, and the temperature struggled to hit 50F.

So...I spent the whole day PLAYing in my downstairs workshop.

Lisa forced me to make a new bat gourd for Halloween. This is the 3rd one I have made, but I sold the other two at the farmer's market.

This was the most ambitious bat gourd yet. I think gourd #1 had 17 bats, and gourd #2 had 21 bats. But, this one...this one...HAS 39 BATS!

The detail work of wood-burning and painting was very time-consuming, but I liked the result.
