Faro, Murano

We are staying in an apartment on Murano, an island to the north of Venice.  It's delightful to be able to visit Venice but to get away to the quiet of Murano in the evening.  This evening I went out with my little travel tripod and took some long exposure shots, some looking towards Venice.

This is the Faro on Murano, with Venice in the background and some hot-rodder youth in his speedboat making light trails across part of the exposure.

The extra photo is of the houses along the Rio della Misericordia; my legs were very tired from the day's walking around Venice, but this light persuaded me to retrace my steps to take capture the scene from Ponte de l'Aseo, just off the Jewish Quarter – Il Ghetto.
