Pillar to post

Today was my 9 mile guided walk 'pillar to post' - a triangular hike from the Greenwich Meridian pillar across the commons to the site of an old Royal Observer Corp post, south to the founders' memorial stone and back. It was pouring with rain as I waited at the start point half hoping that no-one would appear (I'd already walked the dog for an hour). But five hardy types turned up and we had a very wet and muddy walk with a stop at Ridley's Pond which has burst its banks.
