world in a grain of sand

say cheese

We chickened out of driving to Plymouth due to the severe weather warnings so we're missing a niece's 18th birthday dinner tonight.
I was planning to spend my "bonus" day sewing but a friend came round and invited me out to Daylesford Organic shop, on the pretext that there would be "lots of pictures of floods for you". For those who don't know Daylesford, it is the only organic shop I know with helicopter landing pad. Everything is beautifully simple, from the stipped oak shelving to the paper carrier bags. Friend and I amused ourselves by guessing the price of things - we generally underestimated by about one third, even when we thought we were guessing high!
These cheeses were in the dedicated cheese room, where I was very politely told that photography isn't really allowed.
We came back via the lovely village shop in Chadlington, where I bought 3 white cyclamen to rip off pay homage to one of Daylesford's designs.
