Our View ....

..... most of the day. And if you look closely at my main picture you will see the view the bear had for the majority of our journey! 

We made the final journey home this morning and afternoon .... arriving home by 3:10 p.m.  For the trip down and back plus traveling around during the week we traveled a total of 1,673 miles.  That's much lower than most of our vacations .... but still a fair amount of driving!

Simba was very glad to see us and it didn't take long for him to come out to greet us!  And then he hardly left our sides for the remainder of the night.  He was well taken care of during our holiday .... although I don't think his sitter came three times a day as promised. She did come at least twice .... which we appreciate. 

And as evidenced by the extra .... the squirrels were also extremely glad to see me!!  This little squirrel is the same tiny one in my collage from Wednesday October 3 .... I was so happy to see that he survived the huge Cooper's Hawk that seems to be using our backyard as his/her personal hunting ground whilst we were away.  He/she is beautiful but we need to find a way to discourage his/her hunting!  I will have a picture if it tomorrow!
