Parisian Confections

Dana said that if she had chosen this selection of chocolates she would have been in the shop for two hours, so she got the preselected assortment. They put on white gloves to put each chocolate, like a little jewel, into an elegant container.  In fact, she said, chocolate stores in Paris look like jewelry stores.* So far our selection has lasted half a day so far unmolested because they are too beautiful to eat....

The macarons from Pierre Hermé came in their own little tin with whimsical pictures of Parisian attractions. These were from their 2018 Collection Automne* and include flavors like 'Flour de Jasmin & thé au Jasmin,  Rose & Pétales du Rose and Infiniment Chocolate Paineiras. 

Needless to say, Dana and Jim had a wonderful time in Paris and came back with lots of pictures and lots of memories....and they weren't all about food...
