Purist

To me - there are some real treats to the past...that classic “pure” sound that comes from analog music off of a vinyl record is at the top. In today’s digital world, where everything is at a NOW pace, I relish my time of stopping in at a small record store, browsing all the old albums that have been tossed aside and seeing all the current bands that have begun to put their new releases back on vinyl. I don’t want to peruse a website, click the buy button and wait for the Amazon delivery. I want to flip through the albums, talk to Mike the owner (pictured) and go home, crack open the cover - lower the needle - pour a glass of wine and try to tell if the crackle is coming from the record or the fire. Whether it’s a good book, a real newspaper or a classic album - maybe even your old film camera- I hope you spend some time this week in an analog world.
