Flash Back

Today was an early start to my daughter's cross-country sectional meet.  As we drove to Romeoville, IL ( a place that I thought I had never been), we came around a corner and "Flash Back"... this is White Fence Farm - the best fried chicken in the USA!  I was reminded of the great memories that I have of my Non & Pop - taking us as kids to the flea market and then dinner at this place.  Its been around for 63yrs - same menu, same décor.  
If you are a grandparent - I hope that you continue to build in "flash back" moments in your grandkids lives.  Because just like today, someday after you are long gone, they will be driving and come around a curve and all those great memories will flood over them like they did for me today.  It only took the sweet words of my daughter to say "let's stop dad" and I swerved into the parking lot and we shared some chicken, hush puppies and some great memories of Non & Pop.
