The makings of a good day.

I took this photo this morning at 8am after going to lock the cows in their paddock after this mornings milking. The mowed paddock is one that we cut for silage yesterday. The morning was brillantly clear - I caught this cloud centered over the tall tree and thought it looked interesting. The high today was 24 degrees - we had to have the fans on at the cowshed this afternoon as it was rather hot and stuffy in the pit with hot cows on each side of us.

I sent this photo into TVNZ news this morning, and it featured on the tv weather tonight! I hadn't told anyone that I had put it on, and Farmerboy got a real surprise when he saw my name and photo on TV! A bit of a buzz for today.

An update on the Boys meeting the Girls blip (seen here). After a bit of a delayed start, the boys were joined with the girls on Wednesday. The boys were very excited; the girls weren't so much - but already 3 girls have been inseminated by the very lucky bulls. Hopefully the other girls will be inseminated in the next 3 weeks.
