Today's the day ……………………… to sing for your supper

Went to a fund-raising concert this evening performed by Kendal Choral Society in the Unitarian Chapel.  Readers of this journal will know that I used to be a member of this choir.  So it's always good to hear them perform and catch up with my former fellow singers.

And it was an eclectic mix of choral pieces that they sang tonight - from old favourites like Zadoc the Priest  to Hubert Parry's Songs of Farewell .  This picture was taken at the end when everyone was applauding the young tenor soloist who had done such a good job.  Then we all went through into the 'Schoolroom' - a large richly-decorated hall (see extra) - and had a delicious supper of pie, mushy peas and dessert.

And hopefully, lots of money was raised for choir funds ……………………...
