A grand day out

Gilly had saved her birthday treat until we came to visit - a flying lesson!
We got to Newquay Airport in good time and handed her over to her pilot. We went to try and watch the takeoff through the fence and saw her climbing into this tiny Cessna! Then off they went. Gilly came back half an hour later with a certificate and some great photos and a broad grin!
Then we went for a round of crazy golf, which I won. Pepper had her favourite game, racing over the sands in pursuit of a ball, then jumping in the sea to cool down.
On to a farm shop and restaurant for lunch, and enormous slices of gateaux which we had to take home for later we were so full. We ate them watching the Bake Off, vegan week, I think ours were nicer than theirs!
