Flood

Following all the rain of the last couple of days it was not surprising that the Avon in Stratford would overflow its banks. Luckily most of the flood spread over the left bank of the river onto the recreation ground though the right bank walkways were impassable in places.

The boat house, bowling club and mini golf course were all flooded and the bandstand stood like an island with swans floating around it. I took lots of photos, as you do, and found it difficult to choose one for blipping. I finally decided to go for humour over art.

With more rain forecast, there could very well be yet more wet pictures over the next day or two.
