The bottom of the garden

W has been busy building a 3rd compost bay.  Even with all these bays, we put a lot of stuff in the brown bin, including over the last weeks, 3 full loads of acorns.

Beside the nearest bay is the hedgehog feeding station and to the far right, attached to an old garden fork, the wildlife camera which has been recording some 15-20 visits each night from one or more hedgehog.

I think the laurels, on the right at the back, are scheduled for the chop - there's a fence behind some, and good native hedging in the field edge behind the whole way.

In other news, I drove myself to the hospital today for a physio appointment, and then popped up to my office for a while.  Meanwhile, W mowed the lawn.  And we've painted the wall in the study, and hopefully tomorrow can start restoring some order in there
