Stragglers in a B&W world

Our usual lake on a grey day with rain in the air.
The surface was all but empty of water fowl with the exception of these two geese. All their comrades have set off for the south but they remained; they even seemed to be ignoring each other.
Low clouds seemed to absorb all the colour and the water looked just like this. Very little processing was needed in this naturally monochrome world.
Later in the day I took a cycle ride up to the summer farm. By then the sun was beginning to break through and with the sun the autumnal colours returned to the forest and lakes, as you can see in the two extras.
