Temple of the Dawn
Wat Arum (Temple of the Dawn) is one of the oldest temples in Thailand and lies on the River Bank opposite to the Grand Palace. It is incredibly steep and whilst going up was of no concern, I couldn't help but notice the amount of people pausing before they climbed down - it's fair to say that in Australia OH&S would prevent you even climbing this structure as the steps are narrow and uneven and there is no safety blanket at the bottom :) I am lucky and have no fear of heights, infact I quite enjoy them and this afforded an awesome vew over Bangkok's waterways.
This temple is considerably different to many of the others, if only because of the ornate ceramic decoration as opposed to 'other'. If you can stomach it, I'd highly recommend climbing this temple...no pun intended!
