Last of da Summer Roses

A really horrible day!  Gales have been blowing, and it's poured with rain non stop.

I was up fairly early for a Sunday, and I've been stuck indoors all day.  Poor Sammy hasn't even wanted to be out either.  So a day of telly and Netflix.  Mam and dad popped by this afternoon on their way home from Unst.  A quiet evening at home, and might get walkies with Sammy, if the rain will only ease for a bit.

Without knowing mam and dad were in Unst, I headed down to see them.  Puss in Boots was about, so no fed him and headed for a brisk wet walk with Sammy.  We weren't out long due to the rain, but Sammy needed a stretch of the legs.  As we came back up the road, the Shetland rose bushes were looking very autumnal, but still some roses clinging on in bloom.  They'll take a serious battering today, so this will be the last for this year.  Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
