Synchronised Biking

According to Katie Melhua, there are nine million bicycles in Beijing. There's not nearly that many in Brisbane, Australia though cycling is a popular form of transport.

Brisbane City Council have a great scheme whereby bikes can be collected from one of many locations around the city, ridden to your destination and then left at another CityBike point for others to use. There's a subscription payable which funds the scheme.

In the background is one of the CityCat ferry terminals on the Brisbane River; bike users can take cycles on the Cats too if they wish.

As well as liking the idea of the scheme, I chose this blip as the array of bikes reminds me of a line of dancers or swimmers performing in unison.
