Spending the day with the schoolchildren

We were all set for a wilderness hike this morning....driving for miles on a tiny dirt road to get to the trailhead....worried we would be out of contact with humans....HAH!!!
We were greeted by busloads of kids....1st and 2nd graders and chaperones,  and smart-aleck 6th graders. ..all running up and down the mountainside!
It was a very strenuous hike, so we opted to hike as far as Cantilevered Rock.  The woods were full of screaming children, but the view was outstanding!
We were glad we made it up and back down on a perfect Vermont day.  My extra shows a bit of the trail.
