Lovely start to the day opening the hens on the allotment with Oscar. Since we are having such sunny days I still haven't harvested all my squashes - I now have many hugmengous ones!
The Exile and I, with Oscar of course, then had a trip to Tavistock. Oscar as usual got quite a bit of attention and was most interested in watching a man clean his van! The exile looked in Charity shops for a dinner service, ended up with a heater! Amazingly Oscar was allowed in one of the charity shops. I had my dads old watch, a clock my mum gave me and a clock that I had bought myself that all needed repairing. Once again Oscar was allowed in the shop! He made himself at home on the carpet and when it was time to leave he didn't want to! Next stop a visit to Gilesey in Whitestuff - there was mutual appreciation going on and she ended up with a well licked face! A quick shop at Morrisons, the Farmers Store and pet shop and then home for lunch/dinner! I had seen a tasty looking recipe in Waitrose for cod and prawns with fennel in white wine, and The Exile had seen an advert for it when visiting her dad and had thought the same! We were right - it was very tasty! A walk with Oscar in Cotehele Woods, which he found a little unnerving as he seems to find any new walk we do, the next time I'm sure he will be fine! Then an evening catching up on Vanity fair - oh dear the milksop Amelia, and oh dear I fear a sticky end for Becky! Very pleased to report it was a quiet evening with Oscar - no manic episode! Phew!
Meat seems to be coming back into my life with Oscar, so how apt to have seen this delivery to the butchers in Tavistock - those poor pigs :-(
